Spring is fast approaching, and we expect our weather conditions to improve, enabling us to enjoy this year’s Picnic/BBQ at Basterfield Park, Hampton East [Melways 77 C7] commencing around 12.00pm to celebrate this famous race.

On this exciting Day, you are encouraged to bring your own food, liquid refreshments, table/chairs etc., even though there is a large Shelter Shed [should the weather play up!], modern toilets, free electric BBQs and even a small lake for you to stroll around after lunch or the Cup!

We usually have 3 to 4 sweeps depending upon how many attend, however please remember to bring your $2.00 coins to participate.

IMPORTANT: Please understand we CANNOT reserve this open shed for our members, hence we get there EARLY, so we encourage you to turn up on time as this Park is becoming very popular with other members of the community who are like-minded!

All we need now are HAPPY and FRIENDLY FACES to mingle and mix with both old and new members, so don’t forget to wear your name badges [so we don’t forget who you are ] and bring your I.C.E. cards.
